Arobone & Company Work Values

Daily Duties at Arobone & Company:

My role was to cover a sales territory of over 12 counties in the Central and Southern New Jersey Areas. I supported the representation and distribution of over fourteen manufacturerers of over 150 products of instrumentation and process control equipment. Some of the equipment included thermocouples, RTD's, level indicators, pressure gauges, valves, filter regulators, air distribution manifolds, and instrumentation tubing. I was given a company car and traveled over 150 miles a day going to various refineries and plants to seek business to develop a new territory. I was required to call on process control and chemical engineers in oil refineries, power plants, as well as waste management and water treatment plants. I kept a daily call report, as well as a monthly expense report for the company. The call report basically indicated to my boss what potential customers I was calling on, as well as where I was going each day for my appointments. I would normally use Monday as the day in which I would make over 20 calls to various plants and refineries within the area to set up appointments with senior instrumentation and process control engineers. However, most of what I did on a daily basis would be to travel directly to these facilities to introduce myself for the first time and speak to whoever was in charge on the site. I carried with me and passed out my businesscards as well as company linecards. I also brought with me a briefcase of several product brochures of the equipment we carried. I was obligated to introduce the company and the products they represented to as many customers as possible in an effort to build business within a brand new territory.
