Daily Duties at Gujarat State Electricity Company:
• Led the team of Engineers for Controlling parameters of Boiler and Steam Turbine Pressure/Temp necessary for 210 MW Power generation • Implement strict preventive maintenance program to prevent unexpected breakdown and outage • Led and managed engineers for Boiler and Turbine maintenance including trouble shooting of coal handling systems. • Led a team for repair and assembly of Heavy Duty Air Fans, Feed Pumps, Coal feeders and turbine auxiliaries • Coordinated Installation, Maintenance and Operation of Steam Valve system, Oil and Water handling system, Cooling tower system for erection of new unit • Led the team of Emergency Action Plan and prepare Emergency Action Plan to synchronize unit with National Greed System when National Greed System collapse and system frequency fall below 47.5 MHz • Responsible for Plant Load Factor and load variation reporting Led team for installation and erection of Compressor, Condenser Pump and Turbine Oil pump • Maintained data for replacement of parts, valves and auxiliaries related with Turbine • Prepared preventive maintenance schedule for Turbine and related auxiliaries • Save cost by keeping the inventory for precise and costly parts at minimum • Check Turbine Governor performance after outage. • Supervised maintenance team for Coal Mill, ID Fan, FD Fan, PA Fan and other auxiliaries • Maintained coal flow system from Coal Crusher-to –Coal Bunker-Coal Feeder to Pulverized –to-Coal Burners • Oversaw regular soot blowing, Coal burner and Oil burner tilting setting • Checking Boiler pipes and parts for wear and tear frequently and keep track for preventive maintenance • Prepared preventive maintenance schedule for Boiler and supporting auxiliaries, valves and steam pipes
