Daily Duties at Master Psychiatric Consulting, P.C.:

Initial evaluation and diagnosis of mental health issues impacting the resident in Long Term Care. Consistent follow-up evaluations every month to every three months depending on the clients needs. Psychophamacotherapy. Colloaboration with Primary Care providers,. Nursing, Dietary, Physical Medicine, Psychotherapy.to develop a safe care plan. Manage psychotropic medications according to the OBRA recommendations in the LONG TERM Care Setting. Capacity Evaluations to determine the residents capacity to make safe medical and financial decisions; appoint a medical proxy; decide their disposition,etc. PASRR evaluations to determine the most appropriate level of mental health care settings. Manage acute psychiatric issues ranging from delirium to exacerbation of chronic paranoid schizophrenia to dementia related behavior issues. Admit to crisis for evaluation of issues related to self injury or injury to others. Admit residents to inpatient psychiatric hospitals as indicated. I am responsible for maintaining a working relationship with15 Long Term Care Facilities and Assisted living Facilities. I consult on the clients mental and behavioral health. These 15 facilities have depended on me to provide mental health care to their clients between the ages of 20-100. Psychotherapeutic care and treatment.
