Daily Duties at Aeras:
This period of time was probably one of the most challenging while employed in Aeras as I began performing dual roles of great responsibility. I received the new responsibility of managing the organization's drug supply without prior training. Management trusted that I could perform the duties due to past excellent performance reviews and my capability to make anything happen. I still managed the clinical trial specimens incoming shipments, shipping of reagents, consumables, equipment and supplies to clinical trials sites, plus staff training. I wrote instruction manuals on the collection of specimens, storage and shipping and everything related to drug management. I quickly learned the regulatory requirements for primary and secondary drug label and be able to coordinate label revisions as drug stability data became available to extend expiration date.
What they like about Aeras:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
