Daily Duties at Newport News Shipbuilding:

Promoted with full responsibility for up to 25 Engineers and Designers including newly-hired Designers and Engineers up to Senior Project Engineers. Hired, reviewed, and terminated employees. THOMAS LEIBY-page two Critical systems initiatives included: All power distribution on the ship up to 480 Volts. Determined a “power budget” for all but a few key classified systems. Ensured capacity of new load allowing for 25% growth. Critical equipment was procured from separate sources geographically dispersed to ensure survivability. Produced over 500 drawings. Successfully achieved trusted relationship with NAVSEA as Company Representative.
