Daily Duties at Broome County Department Of Public Transportation:
Maintain lead role as experienced Departmental Operations Supervisor and Inventory Manager reporting to the Director of Maintenance. Responsible for assessing and enforcing departmental budgeting, securing material quotes, contract procurement, and implementing inventory management policy, Responsibilities include oversight of $1.2 Million annual fuel budget, $720K standing parts inventory, $500K annual parts budget as well as overseeing shop operations maintaining 50+ Heavy Duty Transit & Para-Transit Vehicles. Additionally Responsible for transit facility maintenance, PESH (OSHA) Safety inspections and regulatory compliance, Intermodal hub maintenance, Emergency Operations, new vehicle specification and conducting vehicle accident investigations. Experienced with capitol project scheduling and implementation. Experienced with state and federal regulatory compliance. • 40 Direct Supervision Responsibilities for 20 unionized Technicians, 15 unionized Coach Operators, Janitorial staff and professional staff including clerk-typists (1), inventory clerks, Stores-Keeper clerk(1), and Maintenance clerks (2).
