Daily Duties at Raytheon:

I was hired to develop and implement a training syllabus for the Hawk depot machine shop. I was to train the Egyptian officers and non-commissioned officers on how to interpret mechanical system drawings and fabricate need parts and assemblies for the system using a variety of shop tools including NC mills, standard lathes, drill presses, saws and metal forming equipment. Initially I was hired on a 1 year contract. At the end of the year I was offered a promotion and an extended contract.

What they like about Raytheon:

You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
