Daily Duties at Los Alamos National Lab:

- Doctoral intern position utilizing expertise in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to understand electrochemical processes in heterogeneous systems - Primary project was the study of ion mobility in ionic polymer systems using the electro- phoretic NMR technique (a variant of pulsed-field gradient [PFG] NMR for studying diffusion and coherent flow) - Secondary project was research and development on electrochemical sensors for hazardous material detection—primarily chemical agents. Performed wet chemistry to create electrochemical sensors with different properties, and tested their response with exposure to various nonhazardous test chemicals - Worked on electronics for a hand held, Palm Pilot-based electrochemical sensor device with modular capability
