Daily Duties at Us Bank:
Designed Network Equipment Rooms (NER) and Telco Rooms for seven different locations. Placed and installed server cabinets, placed voice and data frames, installed routers, switches, and servers in computer rooms, and cross-connected all voice risers to the phone switch PBX. Tested all data locations using a Fluke tester and verified connectivity on all voice and data work area outlets. Managed two out state projects in Texas and Canada, for which I designed two computer rooms, installed network equipment and tested the voice and data floor locations. Installed multiple Cisco 6509s and connected the fiber to the 6509, connected the switches in the telco rooms, and connecting servers in the NER. Served as the lead technician on multiple large projects occurring simultaneously. Pulled and tested voice and data cables, and designed and organized cable runs to reduce cabling costs and minimize cable waste. Involved in a complete network build-out, where upon receipt of the blueprints, labeled all network equipment and tested to make sure all users were working correctly. Linked many network systems to complete one large network system by fiber and or copper connections. Manage request queue on a ticketing system. Racking, inventory all new equipment. Running and patching network cables. Was part of a 6 person team that supported 11 building network and voice cabling and any problem tickets. Would have monthly meeting.
