Daily Duties at United Health Group:

Utilize aperture Vista 600 software tool to provide accurate and detailed information within the tool. Responsible for the install, decommission, and adding/removing connections in the work flow processes. Gather information on the infrastructure and ensure accuracy of the data in Aperture Vista. Report to Management on group progress of work and provide detailed reports on work flow. Audit data and install and remove equipment. Very proficient in Microsoft applications. Onsite and remote Project Management of small to large scale projects (installations, Cut-overs, Decommissions, and Data Center Cleanings/Upkeep) Project and site staffing of 24x7 Tier III Data Centers to meet the demands of various business segments and related customers. Large and small scale incident management of local and remote sites. Troubleshooting from the physical layer to the basic network level (DNS, speed/Duplex, IP address, faulty SFP optic) Experience coordinating various vendors to perform local and remote installations. Enforced Data Center policies and procedures to include policing prohibited items from entering the facility, ensuring access level, providing escort to vendors and visitors, and other on-site security functions as needed. Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on a variety of hardware platforms. Have a thorough understanding of cabinet design and the management of power, space and cooling usage. Ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment. Maintain Facility well being and general appearance by performing Facility survey inspections. I am a memeber of a 15 person team that manages 3 data centers. Assist team members as Team Lead in solving non-routine project issues. Have weekly meetings to discuss any issues and/or work load.
