Network through Industry Contacts, Association Memberships, Trade Groups and Employees • Located and document where to find ideal candidates. • Aided public relations in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally. • Communicated with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads. • Created contacts within industry. • Attended local professional meetings and membership development meetings. • Maintained regular contact with possible future candidates. Coordinated and Implement College Recruiting Initiatives • Coordinated college recruiting initiatives. • Attended career fairs for recruiting and company recognition. • Developed working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting. • Facilitated presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs. Administrative Duties and Record Keeping • Managed the use of recruiters and headhunters. • Tracked and reported key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity. • Reviewed applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements. • Conduct prescreening interviews. • Maintained all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). • Performed reference and background checks for potential employees. • Wrote and forwarded rejection letters. • Conducted onsite interviews and selection of employees. • Prepared offer packages. • Prepared new employee orientation packages. • Perform other special projects as assigned.
