Daily Duties at Helen He, Pe:
Applies engineering and management principles to resolve conflict and to insure compliance with City regulations. Inspects and reviews commercial construction practices to insure compliance with standards and specifications. Coordinates work activity with other agencies, divisions and departments. Performs professional engineering calculations. • Prepares correspondence and work status reports concerning construction projects. • Serves as a consultant during project construction phases to include reviewing project shop drawings and evaluating contract bid proposals. • May plan, organize, assign and review the work of subordinate level employees Responsible for site planning, design and engineering of land development projects, including grading, water distribution, roadways, storm water calculations and utilities for residential, commercial, retail, institutional and/or recreational facilities. Use engineering software to perform hydrologic Perform hydraulic analyses to verify performance of proposed improvements • Coordinate with reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work • Perform work within project deadlines • Clearly communicate work through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange
