Daily Duties at Ny Presbyterian Hospital, Payne Whitney Westchester Division:
Interacted with clients in the unit to encourage them to interact with other clients and attend team meetings. Interacting with others helps these clients to reach their psychological goals. Keep the clients safe and report any client who is aggitated and threatening harm to himself or others to security police. Try to isolate an aggitated client by staying with him and tell other clients to leave. If client is psychotic and hallucinating, try to isolate client and report to the security guard to help take client to an isolation room for treatment, If client needs to leave the locked down units, accompany the client to his appointment. Start conversations with clients to get to know them, which helps them to overcome their social discomfort. Encourage the client to do a small project with me or another client.
