Daily Duties at Brigham & Women's Hospital:
•Serve as technical training leader to Therapist, Residents and new hires. •Work with departmental teams to problem solve and implement solutions involving treatment planning, set up and delivery •Exercise excellent judgment in providing direct patient care and developing treatment techniques as they relate to treatment •Complete department Quality Assurance tasks such as creating reports, weekly chart audits and radiation safety measurements •Construct immobilization devices and employ custom techniques conducive to radiation therapy treatments •Work closely with Radiation Oncologist and Therapy Team in preparation of treatment plans and identify any potential complications issues prior to treatment •Coordinate clinical assignments of therapy students and assist in their competency exams Core Competencies Stereotactic Treatment SBRT Treatment Brachytherapy (HDR & LDR) Cone Beam Imaging Surface Applicators IGRT and IMRT 2D, 3D and 4D Imaging Exact Track Student Teaching
