Daily Duties at Omnitrans:

Participated in weekly team meetings with Integrated Project Management Office staff; managed outreach programs during enivornmental review, planning and design phases of a $191.7-million bus rapid transit corridor construction project; managed outreach budget and activities of the outreach consultant; actively participated in discussions and meetings with the design consultant's outreach team to coordinate public events, including scoping meetings, during which the public has an opportunity to review and comment on BRT design proposals; a call to artists to submit proposals for glass panel, paver and structural monuments for station platforms (organized station art review committees in San Bernardino and Loma Linda, consisting of city officials, art experts and community historians to assure proposals properly reflected the cities' cultural heritage); and a stakeholders' forum to gather corridor businesses and property owners, government officials and transit advocates to acquaint them with the benefits of the future service to the communities in providing connectivity with other transit lines and services, transit oriented development and economic opportunities.
