Daily Duties at San Diego State University:
• Worked on biological and bio-analytical experiments including but not limited to In-situ hybridization, PCR, RT-PCR, protein expression, DNA isolation. • Developed protocol for Tyramide signal amplification Fluorescence In situ Hybridization (TSA-FISH) of gamma proteobacteria associated with marine dinoflagellates. • Development of protocols for visualization of bacteria-dinoflagellates association using different microscopy techniques such as Epifluorescence microscopy, Scanning electron microscopy and Confocal laser microscopy. • Isolation of siderophores from marine bacterial cultures followed by quantification by preparative column chromatography, HPLC, NMR spectroscopy and GC-MS techniques.
