Daily Duties at Sovereign Ban K:

Sovereign Bank had been a former customer of UtiliTech, I served as the consultant on their accounts and had a UtiliTech auditor positioned with billable hours to assist with cost savings measures. Approached by the Bank to bring all of the auditing and contract negotiations in-house, I agreed. My responsibilities were to build a team of auditors, train them in best practices, negotiate improved contracts, improve budgeting and variance analysis for telecommunications and work with the Technology team to improve the data network. At this time, there was no inventory of telecommunications services by location and this was included in my function. Part of the new budget structure was to provide actual Telecommunications expenses by location and cost center. We worked to streamline Telecommunications expense allocations to business units and Branches. Telecommunications and Technology contract negotiations. Aid Technology team in accessing new technologies. Establish, track and report variances to annual Telecommunications expense budget. Identify and implement telecommunications cost savings initiatives.
