Daily Duties at Bridgestone:
Respond to all production emergency downtimes calls as quickly as possible. Repairing all the machinery wether electrical, electronic, or mechanical down. I have been leading my shift the last five years in this capacity due to my experience, and in many cases directing others on my crew to specific tasks based on their expertise. Once complete, to ensure the repair was completed properly and to show younger ST's quicker ways to do the same job, there by reducing downtime and costs, getting more product warehoused. Success measured in number of tires warehoused, in that more tires warehoused, more Result Share, therefore greater paycheck. Greater amount of downtime would reduce number of tires therefore reduced paycheck.
What they like about Bridgestone:
You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
