Daily Duties at Soltesz:

Team Leader for a staff of Ten Landscape Architects and Environmental Planners for Land development Design and Entitlement process for Commercial, Institutional and residential projects. Principal in Charge for clients projects, I developed the scope of tasks, prepared and negotiated contracts, monitored the project schedule, prepared monthly billing and accounts reports for the General Manager. I would assign a staff Project Manager, assistant Project Manager and support staff as well as coordination with other civil teams internally and in collaboration with architects, attorneys, geotechs, traffic engineers etc direct the design of a project, schedule deliverables, assign tasks and tasks budgets and monitor progress of assigned staff. I hired my team members, when necessary, terminated. I had very little attrition from the recession. My team was its own profit center, typically achieving 18% profit annually. I was the company representative for various industry professional associations in the Washington Metro area My role also included business Development, working with the CEO and General Manager, meeting with prospective clients and design teams for design build RFP's.
