Daily Duties at Santander Ban K, N.A.:

Sovereign Bank was fully acquired by Grupo Santander in April 2009. Part of the initial activity was to combine the Technology Procurement and Central Purchasing teams. Due to my successes in Technology Procurement and capabilities to design and manage databases, I was named the manager for the combined team. As part of the new team, I was heavily engaged in integrating the Santander Procurement menthodology in the United States. To support these activies, Santander would deploy the SAP-ERP application and I was named the Project team leader for SAP-ERP expense management application implementation, working with a global, multi-departmental team. As part of these activities and as a bridge to SAP-ERP, I developed a database to track expense approvals and combined the information with data from Accounting for invoice payment. My daily activies included discussions and training with business units on the new methodology and tracking maverick spend. Additionally, the combined team was responsible for vendor management and central services. such as office supplies, MFDs, Currency Counters and coffee/water. Telecommunications was placed in the Technology area and I supported the knowledge transfer of my former activities. Further responsibilities were assigned in developing a new methology for Third Party Provider risk, following the OTS TB-82a guidelines and then the OCC Vendor Management Guidelines after our charter change to a National Association in 2012. I was the Project team leader for third party provider contract centralization initiative. Develop contract management guidelines. Manage expense and compliance teams, including one manager, five Expense Liaisons, SAP-ERP support and three compliance employees. Third party provider contract negotiations. Telecommunications auditing and contract negotiations. Assist in managing $2.1B expense budget.
