Daily Duties at Rock Island Arsenal:

• Responsible for performing Journeyman level fabrications, modification, and repair welds on various Department of Defense and military based industrial parts and equipment. • Facilitate cutting edge projects with no supervision • Developed a strategic method to effectively plan and organize work from shop/work orders, blueprints, and drawings/sketches in an effort to reduce waste and ensure high standards of quality. • Responsible for creating and executing a diverse plan using lean methodologies to effectively and efficiently complete work orders above standard JMTC run rates with a sustained average of 150% productivity per shift. • Successful and consistent execution of lean manufacturing practices in various RIA shops via application of standard methodologies and active involvement as lead/participant in Six Sigma events.
