Spearhead initiation, implementation, and achievement of company goals and strategy, Participate and in some instances lead international clinical development-, translational medicine-, technology-, and licensing- teams. Serve on Novartis appointed teams to develop global management and strategy in functional genomics, angiogenesis, gene regulation, and gene therapy, as well as oncology internal programs, in-licensing/acquisition analysis, due-diligence, and technology evaluation. Assist in managing 100 person Novartis division and ~ $20M annual budget, ~and represented department at Novartis Global Board meetings. Lead potential products from discovery into first in man clinical trials. Led matrixed multi-disciplinary teams composed of experts from pre-clinical, research, toxicology, early clinical, marketing, manufacturing, translational and regulatory.
