Daily Duties at Top Of The Rock Observation Deck At Rockefeller Center:
I was the primary person in charge for all operations within Top of The Rock. These responsibilities included Budget creation and management / HR / Recruitment, Payroll / Labor, Sales, Facilities, IT, Staffing, Security, R&M, Capital Projects, Sales Forecasting, Retail, Events, Hiring, Terminations, Union and Non Union bargaining, Cleaning, Project management, etc. • Created, responsible for a 72 line item, 43 million dollar budget yielding a 28 million NOI. • Developed timed ticketing system, which performed on peak days to welcome over 16,000 guests. • Responsible and accountable for budget creation, implementation and direct management for 16 departments. • Created guest traffic patterns and strategic staffing leading to over 3 million guests per year. • Generated over 6 million to bottom line per year by creating outside the box revenue centers while enhancing guest experience. • Accomplished a 20% YOY increase in sales since 2005. • Created and managed a 4.5 million payroll budget. • Led, inspired and trained a team of over 380 staff members (union and non union), 25 managers and director of 16 departments. • Created and spearheaded the Rockefeller Center Art & Architecture Tour. Generating over 2.5 million per year, this added revenue source has also achieved a 5 star review, certificate of excellence and currently ranked 11th out of 440 NYC tours (Trip Advisor). • Led Top of The Rock to rank #1 out of 721 attractions in New York City by Trip Advisor. • Achieved NYC Concierge Choice Award in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 for best in New York City hospitality. • Created staff on-boarding process leading to less than a 20% yearly turnover rate. • Instituted employee mentorship, manager in training and employee incentive programs that enhanced Top of The Rock’s ability to promote qualified, motivated employees from within resulting with an employee job satisfaction rating of 85%. • Responsible for Fire Safety and onsite Security Systems.
