Daily Duties at Syncor International:
As a Nuclear Pharmacist, I was responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines; also consulted with or advise physicians and medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy. I have a working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical compounding and dispensing procedures. I was accountable and qualified on a daily routine for: *Elutes product from Mo-99 generator *Prepare Tc-99m kits for patient use *Draws doses for individual patient use *Compounds I-131 doses for patient use *Places special orders for products needed for next days business *Serve in an active role in radiation safety program *Radio labels WBC (white blood cells) for infection studies *Performs any other duties as required to ensure a safe and efficient pharmacy operation. *Independently directs delivery routing and following strict DOT guidelines *Independently uses all instrumentation required for nuclear pharmacy operations *Participates in quarterly testing and calibration of instruments. *Performs scheduled inventory count and reconciles in the computer systems I strive to ensure that customers have a positive experience and commits to meet or exceed customer expectations.
