Daily Duties at Air Force Medical Operations Agency, Healthcare Team Training:
Served as consultant/advisor to 27 Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) ensuring responsibilities are met as prescribed by local and federal policy. Serves a member of the governing board at the Air Force Medical Operations Agency and provides decisions and direction to the MTF leadership regarding Patient Safety and Quality. Provided oversight and support to the MTF Patient Safety Program managers (PSPM) for the establishment and operation of the Military Health System Patient Safety Program (PSP). Stayed abreast of national and Department of Defense patient safety initiatives and their impact on the Air Force PSP. Coordinated with MTF’s PSPM to ensure complete facility-wide implementation of TeamSTEPPS through various training venues such as Train-the-Trainer, Train-the-Staff, and coaching. An expert in facilitating, conducting and analyzing Root Cause Analyses and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses. Approximately 38 performed with zero AAAHC or TJC rejections.
