Reported directly to COO of company. • Worked closely with Sales force on pricing requests – approving or denying submissions. • Approved or denied short pay requests regarding accessorial charges such as fuel or additional services not covered under agreed upon contracts. • Implemented a company Rules Tariff which netted company additional revenues on accessorials. • Enforced control of tariffs. Generating them “in house” as opposed to the Sales force having the ability to create and distribute their own tariffs to customer’s as was the prior practice which led to many billing errors because of lack of communication between Billing Department and Sales. • In conjunction with COO and Department leaders moved company toward more efficient procedures to streamline operations. • Worked with Logistics – pricing, carrier selection, manifesting and dispatching. • Worked directly with billing personnel to move to an autorate system. • Daily analysis of transportation lanes for profitability. • Worked with Ops on profitable and less desirable lanes and load plans. • Took over the Brokerage Operations when the Brokerage team left the company.
