Daily Duties at Nike Inc:

Marketing liaison for NIKE INC Women’s National Basketball Association Market. Promoted NIKE INC and NIKE’s WNBA contracted athletes in Washington DC, and Cleveland, Ohio through in arena promotions, community relations, program implementation, and event planning. Organized and managed community grassroots programs fostering athlete/community relationships and visibility through player appearances and autograph sessions with local Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCA’s. Supervised all market area NIKE Basketball Camps and Leagues providing equipment, support, and overall structure. Delivered logistics planning for NIKE/WNBA Internship Orientation and special events for NIKE contracted athletes. •Managed the Summer 2000 NIKE/WNBA Internship Orientation Logistics at NIKE Headquarters •Organized WNBA’s Chamique Holdsclaw’s Celebrity Birthday Bash which included recruiting sponsors, booking the venue, hiring masters of ceremony, security, entertainment, catering, purchasing radio spots and promotional material, and managing the celebrity guest list. •Performed in-arena promotions by providing 100 Nike sponsored tickets per home game, free posters, and Nike souvenirs, to local grassroots programs such as YMCA’s, and Boys and Girls Clubs •Organized the Adopt-an-Athlete Program connecting Nike contracted WNBA athletes with community programs which provided activities and opportunities to meet and interact with their favorite players •Managed city wide Nike sponsored camps and leagues, properly equipping each of them with necessary supplies such as uniforms, basketball equipment and, Nike banners while supervising the progression and maintenance of each location •Assisted in Washington Mystics/ Cleveland Rockers main office administrative responsibilities
