Oversee the development and management of occupational health and wellness program for 2,500 employees. Host 20 organization wide programs annually which include individual consulting for tobacco cessation and wellness coaching. Significantly reduced employee health risk status from high risk to low risk saving $104,406 in medical cost for 2011-2012 plan year. Manage Millis Regional Health Education Center supervising 8 employees. Responsible for $217,000 wellness and health education budget. Five years experience leading the Wellness Council, member of the board of directors for Guilford County Schools Health Advisory Committee, an active member of the Workforce Engagement Team, and the Performance Measurement Team responsible for measuring the continuous process improvement of workforce groups employee engagement initiatives. •2011/2012 plan year Return on Investment (ROI) of 2:1 •Reduced employee health risk scores in 2011/2012 Insurance Health Plan Year Comparison Report - General Health Risk 7.8% in 2011, reduced to 3.8% in 2012 - Blood Pressure – High risk 7.1% in 2011, reduced to 1.5% in 2012 - HDL – High risk 29.8%, in 2011, reduced to 5.3% in 2012 - Glucose – High Risk 6.5% in 2011, reduced to 4.8% in 2012 - Activity – 37.2% reported never for exercise in 2011, reduced to 33% in 2012 •Develop and implement wellness programs for the health system, community, and surrounding businesses •Key contributor to organizational biometric screening process •Collaborate with Human Resources developing employee benefits coordination and management •Mentor for Press Ganey Goal Setting Process providing support for managers and directors. •Host and manage the Employee Wellness Fair, Farmer’s Market, Employee Wellness Center, Aerobics Instructors, Onsite Weight Watchers Program, book club, communication channels, and internal and community workshops •Deliver internal promotions and marketing via social media and technology tools such as our Wellness Facebook page, internal website, and electronic newsletter •Develop and manage the wellness coaching/disease management program •Deliver smoking cessation counseling for hospital employees, spouses, and community •Engage 2,500 members of the workforce through increase visibility and effective wellness participation and outcomes •Nominated and selected by senior administration for UNC Health Leadership Academy 2013
