Daily Duties at Colonial Metals, Inc.:

I was promoted to this position from the Director of Organometallics position in October 2010. The accountabilities were as follows. I had 3 direct reports which were the Analytical Lab personnel and I had technical oversight to around 25 chemists and chemical operators. I was responsible for providing input and guidance to executive management and the Board of Directors concerning technical challenges and issues. I served as a liaison to external clients to demonstrate the Company’s technical capabilities. I lead directed and implemented R&D activities throughout all the production divisions. I also supplied direction and oversight to the Quality Control Lab expanding their capabilities both in terms of analytical experimental competencies and instrumentation. I directed the development of streamlining and the standardization of processes via the creation of standard operating procedures and batch records. I also provided input for the creation of Quality documents in the ISO system. I also presented both business development/marketing presentation and technical presentations at national and international conferences and tradeshows, often as an invited speaker. I also provided oversight of the creation of internal product specifications and entries in the product catalog and I also provided technical service to clients concerning our products and their applications.
