Managing the stores at "Grand Opening" conditions, making sure the department Managers submit scheduling or help them if needed, budget control, monitoring hours worked by employees on a daily basis, building displays, making sure that all departments are set to to plan -o- gram by Saturday night for the next week, walking the floor aiding customers, dispute resolution (employees), taking care of customer complaints, fund raising, holding daily and weekly informational meetings for employees, going over department numbers and percentages in individual sales/ employee wages/ shrink, job fares, hiring, training existing and new employees on procedures, etc...
