Responsibilities: Administered WinNT4 Servers, Win9x, NT, 2K clients; troubleshooting problems; Installed software; Managed MS Exchange 5.5; VERITAS Backup; managed Hardware and Software licenses and life cycle purchases; Disaster Recover Planning and IT Internet and Email Policies; Provides technical support to diagnose, analyze, research and resolve complex computer problems for internal and external customers. Responsible for recognizing, researching, isolating, resolving and documenting problems with information systems products and services. Analyzes system issues to evaluate root cause and design/develop solutions to mediate issue. Tests solutions and documents specifications, modifications or design changes. Provides the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for complex technical incidents in order to ensure satisfaction. Accomplishments: designed, built, installed and support network infrastructure connectivity to CNC milling machine for parts production at the Cleveland, OH location by myself; incorporating best practices around WAN/LAN, switching, routing, security and convergence Skills Used: Knowledge of computer and network technologies and applications; gained in-depth knowledge of the business and product environment; understanding of various business systems, data processing, and manufacturing concepts; organize project workflows to ensure timeliness; Communicate verbally & in writing on technical & non-technical matters; Prepare & interpret technical & non-technical reports; experience with IP routing protocols and the ability; resolve performance and connectivity issues
