Daily Duties at At&T:

• I was responsible for managing the costs, budgets, and teams of contract testers on various AT&T applications and services. My main focus was consumer and messaging based applications. I managed QA teams that were responsible for testing and approving the release of AT&T applications and eCommerce products such as Mobile IM, Mobile Email, Messaging Storefront, ATT Mobile Backup, Cellular Video, SMS and MMS messaging services. • I managed simultaneous QA projects in all phases of the software development life cycle & managed the design, process, testing, and completion of IV&V of 3rd party products, with 20 contract testers and 3 leads reporting to me. • I am a strong consumer advocate for both internal departments and external AT&T customers. I maintained a strong belief in upholding a detailed and organized QA Best Practices policy to ensure my projects are released with a high quality I am proud to sign my name on and would purchase myself as a consumer. • When a project requires new contractors I was responsible for interviewing, hiring, and overseeing the training of the new testers. I maintained and managed QA teams throughout the software testing cycles. • I constantly strived to improve QA efficiency to reduce QA time and costs. • I managed projects with the QA costs ranging from $10K to $500K.

What they like about At&T:

A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
