Daily Duties at Lindenhurst Health & Fitness Center Of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital:

• Prepare, develop, and perform within annual operating budget of $6,000,000 • Forecast accurate facility expenditures and meet applicable projections and goals • Review monthly financials and report any and all variances to the CFO of hospital • Assist with development of club capital budgets • Approve purchase orders, process orders, approve invoices and submit within designated timeframes to ensure late fees are not accrued • Achieve forecasted net profit growth from the previous year • Manage and account for club net profit, net member growth, member retention, member satisfaction, sales, revenues and employee motivation • Management of supervisory personnel of all ancillary departments • Implement HFC policies and resolve member and/or employee issues through effective communication and leadership skills • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and security of the club • Coordinate the communication and marketing needs of the facility • Foster community relationships through participation in civic organizations and events • Visit other clubs on a regular basis to maintain a competitive analysis and develop successful counter-strategies • Ensure that all tasks and projects are performed and fully completed within set guidelines and timeframes • Hold regularly scheduled management meetings for management team • Assist in development and facilitation of management education sessions and dual-club activities • Provide departmental training for new management employees and other designated managers and department heads • Identify and provide on-going training for management staff as needed to improve overall performance • Promote the growth and development of the management team • Participate in the facilitation of the new hire/orientation process for management personnel
