Managed a group of six technical SMEs who provided oversight and operational support for all regulatory and associated technical efforts to effectively and efficiently manage the Company’s Water and Waste Management projects and compliance programs. Served as the Company's primary liaison with governmental agencies and managed all official communications to applicable environmental agencies. Provided technical and administrative support to operating units undertaking applicable projects; supervised the submission of required regulatory filings, secured applicable variances and permits, and provided technical direction and support to operating groups during Company emergencies. Assisted operating units in developing cost-effective and efficient compliance strategies for applicable activities Managed the continuous review and update of the Company’s Waste and Water procedures to reflect current federal, state and local regulations. Ensured that new or modified legal and regulatory initiatives were identified and adequate planning occurred to minimize disruption in operations, risk, or financial impact. Maintained systems to manage filing of permit applications/renewals and regulatory reports plus the payment of the associated regulatory program fees. Managed revisions and interpretations of Corporate Waste Management and Water procedures and instructions, and supported associated training. Defined metrics and measured progress toward successfully meeting corporate expectations of fostering sustainable business practices.
