Daily Duties at Bae Systems :
As deputy Director of the Data Link Solutions LLC, I was the Point of Contact for customer relations when and contract negotiations. All information flowed through my program office and myself to make final recommendation to other PMs or decisions on profit & loss. I also took on a new development program called FAST, Flexible Access Secure Transfer which enabled the war fight to access information from the ground or other pilots in real time. This was a program which yielded over $9M in Orders in development contracts. Provide Technical and management oversight to multiple projects. Manage and mentor program managers on a daily basis. Reported financial forecasting to sr. mgt weekly. Supported Business development activities to support company growth. Oversight of logistics and field failures, turn-around time and mitigating AOG Aircraft on ground situations. Develop all program budgets and financial reporting to sr mgt. Presented program reviews to customer community monthly. Extensive international travel to support customers, Work closely with Product consortium consisting of five countries, Italy , Germany, France, Spain and the United states. Attend Quarterly reviews with international team members to discuss engineering and programmatic issues. Significant Leadership experience leading Data Link solutions team consisting of BAE Systems and Rockwell Collins. Train and develop new program managers to the product line. Drive trade and export compliance working closely with Export officer. Monitor and tract government and customer furnished property. Establish internal and external metrics for program including On time, Escapes, Logistics turn-around times. Help support and mentor all team members, Negotiate with all government and international customers with Profit and loss decisions. Devise Offset requirements packages for international customers and competitive proposals. Lead competitive proposals large teams consisting of various functional members, up to 20 people for 6 months at a time. Manage the effectiveness and efficiency of company processes . procedures and infrastructure. Provide direct support to Director of Programs. Supervise and maintain company training programs and requirements. Responsible for full life cycle of product concept to end of life. Interface with all customers on all aspects of programs including negotiations and conflicts. P&L Responsibility for all programs ranging from 10M to 100M contracts yearly. Stratigic business planning and capture team execution. Capture Team Lead for Major competitive proposals in general ranges of $40M to $70M. Drive “Cost-Out” initiative projects through improvements in manufacturing process & Cycle Time reductions; manage to improve profit and margin position by 11% or approx 20K per ship set. Manage four Sr. Program Managers on future technology and development programs. Responsible for $48M firm orders up15% over goal, up $12M for New business programs. Managed Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) Link-16 MIDS programs and assured proper procedures were followed for export trade & compliance (i.e. TAAs, MLAs, etc.)
