Daily Duties at The Mc Connell Group, Naval Hospital:

Provides healthcare support services to the Navy’s Psychological Health Care Access Initiative (PHAI) to prevent and reduce the incidence of Combat Operational Stress Reactions (COSRs). Applies professional knowledge of clinical psychology in a Family Medicine Medical Residency Training Program providing medical education as a faculty member, didactic instruction, preceptoring, mentoring, consulting, advising, and evaluation in behavioral and psychological health addressing combat-related post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). Provides individual, family, and couples’ therapy services to include clinical interview, individual treatment plans, psychotherapeutic techniques, treatment methods, and direct psychological intervention. Administers and interprets psychological tests in order to diagnosis mental health diagnoses and identify behavioral and personality deficits.
