Daily Duties at Shaw Industries:

Identify mechanical problems and perform mechanical repairs as needed. Performed machine maintenance including, diagnoses, service & maintenance of machinery, mechanical equipment, coordinates department Reviewed work orders to ensure that maintenance schedules within the department are completed according to priority, prioritizes work, develop daily department schedule, assigned routine preventive maintenance tasks with the goals of maintaining and improving costs, productivity, quality, and safety standards to promote peak efficiency of all plant equipment. Proficient in using a PC and other department specific databases or systems, all assigned machinery and related equipment Developed preventative / root cause analysis, implement reliability strategies to prevent equipment downtime. Ensured priorities for workflow ensure task were completed in a timely manner. Provided feedback to employees by suggesting changes in working conditions and use of the equipment to increase efficiency at work. Involved in the work load assignment processed. Developed & maintained effective working relationships with other departments to proactively address issues that may impact the quality of the production process or product, including working with safety and quality committee or by attending safety and quality meetings, working on safety projects, performing safety training to promote a safe work environment, appropriate employee behavior and accident prevention. Worked on special projects. Oversaw contractors on maintenance related jobs to assure all contract maintenance services were performed according to quality and safety standards. Made reports on daily/weekly/monthly activities related to the twisting department execution, including equipment uptime performance, maintenance personnel activities & budget status for all aspects of the department. Performed daily cleanliness inspections daily & weekly walk through in departments as well as other duties as assigned.
