Daily Duties at Meds Global Healthcare :
To develop the business and medical relationships with UCLA Medical Center and all the CE vendors (Olympus, Given Imaging, IntroMedic, and SmartPill), as well as the medical customers, which includes Gastro Intestinal (GI) doctors, General Practitioners (GP), Internal Medicine physicians, hospitals, medical universities, and DME distributors. * Focused on expanding the CE business at UCLA Medical Center * Responsible for development of web-based software application to handle the clinical and business work flow for physicians performing (CE) capsule endoscopy * Collaborated with CE Vendors to integrate MEDS proprietary web-based software application with their CE technology in order to streamline the CE workflow process * To grow customer base through sales and development of MEDS IT technical platform for CE * Worked with MEDS office in Thailand to develop the CE reading service and technical process via tele-medicine for MEDS global customers * Managed 2 internal sales reps, 4 DME distributors, 2 software engineers, 3 clinical CE Readers, 4 office staff, and up to 5 medical interns * In charge of medical billing department and customer service * Attended regular US and international medical conferences and symposiums * Ongoing education and training on HIPAA regulations and compliance (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), HITECH Act (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health), Affordable Care Act, and continued CE technology training and seminars * Researched and managed the conversion of MEDS office to an EMR system (Electronic Medical Records) and also to integrate EMR into MEDS IT business platform * Reported to MEDS CEO and Medical Director in developing MEDS Business Plan to present to various investors * Attended monthly UCLA-Thailand Executive Committee meetings on campus to promote academic & medical research, education & technology exchange, business opportunities, social & government policy collaboration, etc
