Prepare patients for radiologic procedures: Explain proper imaging procedure, position patients correctly for test, assure patient is calm and informed, adjust equipment and take preventative measures to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation. Collect survey information, file paperwork and deliver data to physicians. • Operate, maintain and adjust radiographic equipment, including small, portable and stationary X-ray machines to assure machines are in proper working order • Assist radiologists with advanced preparation and testing to administrative tasks and • Provide extra-ordinary patient care between departments • Communicate effectively with both patients and doctors • Develop pictures to pass onto doctors and radiologists for review • Alert medical staff of any urgent problems needing emergent care
