Daily Duties at Afce:
Developed and checked steel shop assembly and field erection drawings with AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit and Graitec. Prepare material and hardware lists. Prepared take-off lists with descriptive illustrations and assist with job estimates. Detailing construction work with BIM systems provides 3D virtual building plus an attached database of information relative to the building components, such as part numbers, assembly numbers, material types, material weights, numbers, location, orientation etc. This capability greatly enhances the engineers ability to determine contract coordination and issues. These BIM systems also enhance the Detailer's ability to work out complicated details in a manner where fabrication and field crews can find information quickly and easily.
