Daily Duties at Uhs Pruitt Corporation:
Regional Claims Manager • Responsible for the financial and technical integrity for all files handled by the Workers’ Compensation TPA. • Provide reserve and settlement authority on all Workers’ Compensation claims as well as oversight of property, vehicle and general liability claims. • Team with defense attorneys and file handlers to move claims to a cost effective resolution. • Manage a team of four telephonic nurse case managers. • Internal claim manager responsible for claims oversight, quality and reserve accuracy on more than 2,000 claims per year. • Conduct quarterly file audits on open claims to ensure compliance with reserving and handling instructions and to develop strategy to move each claim to closure. • Subject matter expert for all workers compensation and return to work questions from the workers compensation coordinators at all locations. • Managed the run-off claims still open with prior insurance companies. • Provide direct oversight and management to attorneys on all litigated claims, attending hearings, mediations and depositions as necessary.
