Daily Duties at Consolidated Edison Of New York:

• Handled telephone and personal communications with customers, employees, legislative/government agencies and the general public relative to various company matters. • Maintained records of benefits and personnel files. • Trained, directed and audited union personnel in various tasks. • Processed transfer applicants in accordance with corporate policy and ensured operating department policy compliance. • Prepared and ensured distribution of job posting notices. • Processed all applications and coordinated all interviews, testing and medicals of applicants through close liaison with Department/Organization personnel representatives. Created a matrix application log sheet system used for monitoring of applicants by personnel representatives. • Maintained position register for management personnel requisitions; entered applicants in internal system; reviewed applications for completeness, followed up on interview results, extended verbal and written job offers and reviewed offer letters for appropriate executive approvals. • Advised company personnel representatives with respect to Recruitment & Staffing Procedures. Performed special projects as assigned by Section manager, Recruitment & Staffing. • Processed all invoices and interacted with relocation vendors as needed. • Reviewed and processed petty cash vouchers for all professional candidates to assure accuracy and conformance with existing policy and guidelines. • Coordinated and controlled departmental record-keeping activities, maintained files, processed required reports which included obtaining all documents required for the EEO department. • Prepared monthly reports for the Department of Labor as well as reports needed for the tracking of rehired retirees for the CEO. • Updated spreadsheets for management and union new hires every two weeks. • In charge of hiring temps and retirees for all five boroughs.Credit cards for HR were in my name to make purchases and order supplies.
