Daily Duties at Engility Corporation (Formerly L 3 Com/Mpri):
Rule of Law and Enduring Law Enforcement Programs (LEP) Advisor to the Brigade Commander, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division – Deployed to Kirkuk Iraq as the 1-1 Advise and Assist Task Force (1-1 AATF) • Assess and evaluate continuity and effectiveness regarding the Rule of Law (RoL) programs initiated by the Iraqi Security Forces in the Kirkuk Province. • Recommend effective changes and new programs for Iraqi Security Forces to ensure programs are enduring post U.S. Forces Departure from Iraq. • Attend Key Leader Engagements (KLE) to Advise, Assist and Mentor Iraqi Senior Police Leadership and Iraqi Army buy-in for programs. • Mentor the development of effective police management skills to assure police actions are ethical and follow the Iraqi Constitutional Law and the 1971 Criminal Procedural Law as well as the 2005 Anti-Terrorism Law. • Conduct KLE with Iraqi Investigative Officers, Investigative Judges, Magistrates, and Trial Judges at all levels to verify RoL actions are consistent with Iraqi Law and that Judges are conducting activities within Iraqi Judicial timelines as required by Iraqi Law. • Assess and evaluate the daily activities of all LEPs assigned at subordinate units within the Brigade. • Provide guidance and recommendations to LEPs and lower level Commanders for effective LEP usage to ensure contractual compliance. • Provide daily and monthly reports to the Country Management Team regarding LEP activities.
