Provided 24*7 support of OpenVMS environments for over 500 U.S. customers.. Assised customers with OpenVMS questions and problems regarding language, compiler, runtime, linker, file system, UI (user interface) and mission critical TP (transaction processing) products. Escalated critical issues to product engineering and coordinate delivery of solutions. Provided product expertise to mission critical support teams and contributed to mission critical SLA objectives. Trained and mentored many coworkers in language and VIA product areas to fill many product support gaps. Carried after hours critical call pager for my product set. Responded to all calls within the contractual timeframe and either closed calls on initial contact or advanced cases to working status. Followed thru with working call to eventual closure or transferred call to coworkers with more expertise in area. I also received transferred calls from coworkers for products where I had more expertise.
