Daily Duties at National Video Tape Co., Inc.:
Develop a new presence in the Northwest U.S. territory in B2B distributor sales. Wrote a 3-year business plan, contacted potential investors, and setup interviews to present my business agenda. Choose and brought together two Fortune 500 corporations; Sony and FujiFilm to create a dealership in the Pacific Northwest spanning into 5 states. I was responsible for all new sales; targeting, prospecting new business and cultivating and maintaining existing accounts. I identified the buyers and their purchasing habits within these companies to develop sales strategies and create and present proposals, negotiate pricing and closed the sale. I wrote profitable pricing structures based on account volume presenting to a fluid and variety price sensitive market. Assisted in the initial setup of new accounts through credit and customer service. Cultivated and maintained existing accounts continually researching new business opportunities by presenting new products and programs to expand and ensure continued sales. Presented revised pricing and updated contracts with existing accounts and updated my company of all account information changes. I won the company's internal sales contest selling the largest volume of products in company history, $600K, within a short time frame; 1-month / 30-days.
What they like about National Video Tape Co., Inc.:
You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
