Daily Duties at Pratt & Whitney:
As GM, to develop and deliver engine training to global customer base through training centers in CT, Beijing and by going to customer locations. As Business Operations Manager for the Global ACE Office, I managed the daily operations and scheduling of all activities of our continuous improvement office. I also conducted assessments/audits to our criteria and led many CI events including Value Stream Mapping, RRCA, Kaizen, etc. As Global Quality Manager, I implemented FOD prevention measures across the PW enterprise to eliminate FOD related problems. I was also the Human Factors manager for PW, integrating HF concepts into all facets of the PW business.
What they like about Pratt & Whitney:
The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
