Daily Duties at Federal Reserve Bank Of R Ichmond:

Provides project management services, including processes, decision support services for investment decisions, governance support, automation support, portfolio management, program management, workforce management planning, and communication and training for National IT and extending to the enterprise FRS IT. Assists National IT division and management in prioritizing and managing their project portfolios to align with business and operational priorities and to proactively identify problems. Provides project processes that are based on industry best practices and effectively institutionalized. Provides guidance/consulting to and solicits feedback from project management practitioners in using project management processes and tools. Continuously improves the processes and leverages automation to meet stakeholders needs, responds to feedback and to the FRS environmental changes (business, technical, cultural). Provides workforce planning and labor tracking processes for National IT staff. Develops and implements communication and training programs that meet the needs of expansive and diverse community of practitioners and leaders. Ensure projects for assigned area(s) of responsibility meet quality, schedule, milestone, and budget commitments. • Responsible for implementing and governing the adherence to project management standards, templates and practices established by the PMO Center of Excellence. • Leads area(s) of responsibility in the coordination and management of resources and resource allocations for multiple ongoing projects, including: project planning, reporting, and monitoring the projects for resource contention and cost. • Leads the IT planning process for assigned area(s) of responsibility to ensure proper linkage and coordination with IT strategic planning and budgeting processes and the enterprise’s and/or division’s short term and long term strategic and tactical initiatives Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff • Contributes industry expertise and understanding of client business. Provides leadership and capitalizes on industry, product and company-specific experiences. Establishes and articulates innovations and growth opportunities for client and the company • Provides input to organization on technology needs, process innovation and people engagement which impact the company. • Acts as the liaison with operations and resource management. Assists in deploying resources to support business needs. • Provides leadership and work guidance to personnel on assigned efforts.
