Daily Duties at Xpedx (International Paper):
Prepared Capital Investment Proposals for all building leases, renewals, equipment purchases as well as delivery and MHE equipment. Noted for functional leadership to 7 divisions located in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Cultivated support to Division Managers and Logistics Managers for all logistics operations. Trained and developed Logistics Managers at five locations. Directed 5 supervisors, up to 18 CDL delivery drivers and 22 warehouse employees. Orchestrated all hiring, reviewing, recognizing and development of logistics personnel. Contributed as a member of the division’s management Lead Team working closely with Marketing, Customer Service and HR. Represented the division’s safety training, OSHA and EHS program for 150 employees. Prepared budgets, Capital Investment Proposals, and logistics expense ratios. Organized and reorganized warehouse layout for changing priorities and stocking needs. Conducted IT support to local users for MS products as well as legacy software systems. Cooperated with vendors and suppliers on product quality and shipments.
