• Managed, supervised and supported multiple projects and field activities. • Ensured project waste and facility multimedia wastes were handled, designated, packaged, stored, transported and disposed safely and compliantly. • Maintained productivity and compliance for numerous projects prioritized and completed goals within stringent timeframes ensured adherence to Federal and State regulations, environmental waste and transportation regulations, company procedures, policies and quality requirements. • Served in the following positions: Waste and Chemical Operations Supervisor (11 staff and 4 craft); GRP Environmental and Waste Coordinator/SME; Senior Waste Shipper; waste compliance trainer; and the group Acting Manager. • Supported Soil Remediation; Facility design/build construction; groundwater pump and treat operations and facility expansions; well drilling and decommissioning; environmental and air sampling; high-risk characterization • Environmental Management responsibilities included: o Analysis of environmental, multimedia and waste sampling data recommend solutions and make decisions o Defining data and waste acceptance criteria o Utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, document and submit routine environmental reports, spreadsheet calculations and data, correspondence, and technical documentation to senior management required for decision making, permits and disposal o Organizing, managing and disseminating environmental data and waste reports o Analyzing the applicability of environmental regulations and RCRA permitting requirements to specific facility/field projects o Ensuring environmental training, waste and shipping compliance o Conducting weekly environmental compliance inspections of 90-day storage facilities, Satellite Accumulations Areas (SAA’s), and waste generating/chemical storage facilities o Reporting on compliance issues, standing drum inventory and clock date status o Reviewing and revising the annual waste disposal forecast reports o Analyzing, preparing, reporting, tracking and trending waste data-annual waste forecasts/disposal projections o Identifying and reviewing facility environmental, multimedia and waste processes and recommending process changes to minimize compliance issues o Conducting notifications and ensured the handling and cleanup for chemical, radiological and hazardous waste spills • Collaborated with scientists and engineers in a multidiscipline team environment for the remedy selection, design build construction, monitoring, development and review of new innovative pump and treat facilities that generate multimedia waste. • Reviewed waste stream processes, designs, treatment/disposal methods, analysis of waste streams, air monitors, effluent flow rates, contamination/concentration calculation and data/process models. • Interfaced with operations, waste and project personnel providing subject matter expertise on waste, chemicals and transportation needs. • Monitored multiple projects/facilities and conducted regularly scheduled and unscheduled surveillances, performance assessments and facility/field assessments on environmental, chemical and waste management processes and functions. • Provided recommendations for improvement and reporting compliance issue to senior management and the ECO. • Conducted operational reviews, weekly environmental compliance inspections, safety walk-downs and performed inspections of facility/field waste storage and SAAs looked for leaks/spills, proper housekeeping and procedural compliance with regulations. • Provided day to day environmental, waste and transportation knowledge and experience in the application of the substantive requirements of RCRA, and TSCA, CERCLA, EPCRA, EPA regulations and NEPA ensuring compliance with Federal and State statutes.
