Daily Duties at Literacy Program Of Greater Plymouth:
Demonstrated basic computer operation to volunteer tutors and adult learners in the Literacy Center, by going over mouse usage, scroll bars, and ICONS. Communicated how to start the programs, browse, maneuver, use, save and exit the programs. This includes over fifty software applications that are available in the Center, plus Microsoft Office, the Internet, and setting up a Yahoo mail account. Maintained student’s records in database. Orientated first time users of the literacy center ensuring that they are comfortable in a new environment. Coordinated the maintenance of several projects for the Technology Center including an annotated software directory and visual aids for students and tutors that I have maintained. Instituted a Web Directory of all the web sites that we recommended & their usage, whether or not membership for using the ESL software is required or needed to be purchased.
